The Harlem Renaissance was a very important time for people of color. Many people of color became famous after this big break through. Many many people of color were happy and celebration for this huge brake through.
This was a time when there was literature music, art people loved to have music played to them also people loved to hear music this was a good time for many people.
Now are tech is way more advanced because now we have bigger better screens and more comfortable seats that can sometimes recline. Also in our movies there are color and back in the 1920's there was either no color or only in some movies.
Back in the 1920's they would go to a movie but it would be called the nickelodeon where they would watch there movies. However they did not have popcorn ans the seats were not very comfortable but they were just happy they got to be there.
The Great Migration was the movement of 6 million African-Americans out of the rural Southern. So they moved to Northeast East and the Midwest. This photograph shows how many people move over time.
The great migration was when people of color came to the midwest and the west from 1916 to 1970. Over 6 million people came. While they were moving some people found a good place and stay there where they could get some money and have a home.
Woman thought that when these new laws started to form that woman's rights would be different well they would get them in the first place but no each time there was a new law nothing for woman's rights changed so then they took a stand.
This video is about what woman had to go through when people would not let them have there rights. They would not eat or drink so men would try to force water and food to them so they would not die. In the video it shows how much woman went through to get there rights.
