This article takes a different route. Its about a long lived rivalry between the yankees and the red socks. I enjoy the way this article is written, and i feel as if i can take some of these methods, of auguring and taking stances in my essay. I also feel as if my essay will need information from way back, and need factual evidence to support it.
This article is about school boards, and cell phone usage in school. It talks about policy, and pissed off parents and students. I feel as if coming in hot in my paper could make it interesting for anyone to read. If i can make my paper easy to read, it will make it easier to take my side.
This article talks about teenagers sleep time. It talks about how early school starts and the toll it takes on students. This article is very argumentative, and has plenty of factual evidence to back it up. It also keeps the reader interested which is my goal for my paper. It talks about many solutions to fixing this problem, but it also talks about why they would be hard to achieve. Thus, showing both sides of the topic. I want to do the same with my paper.
This article is an argumentative article against homework. It talks about the hassle, stress, and unnecessary extra work. I would model off of this, but change it to, is fighting against hunter/conservationists really worth it. Doing this would open threaders eyes to wha is really happening with hunter conservationists, and show that not everything said about them is true. I feel as if this would be a great way to prove my point in a paper.
This article is a top 25 list. The list includes skills deer hunters should never forget. I would use something similar, but with things like how to be a good conservationist, and how to hunt in the right way. A list will provide more factual evidence to support my argument. a list is also easy to read, and easy on the readers eyes.
This article brings factual evidence into play. It talks about predictions in the NFL draft. I could use evidence that is similar to this to show what hunters will do over time for conservation. If i bring loads of facts into the paper it will help prove my points. No one can agree against straight up facts.
This article really sent an article at all. It is a series of questions to help you come to a decision. I feel as if i can add questions with possible answers into my paper i could help establish a position for the reader. Adding questions changes the mood of the paper. It makes the reader feel as if they have power in what they are reading. But, it also can help prove a point. Questions like these will for sure be used in my paper.
This article talks about a 1.3 trillion dollar deal. This deal involves plans to help create better habitat, and land markers for hunters. The info for my paper that i get from this is that the government clearly sees what hunters do for the wildlife, and they support it. This deal would make it easier to hunt, and keep up with things. With hunters being helped along it would create more opportunities for people to be educated. In turn making more hunter into conservationists.
This buzzed article uses photos to help you make your mind up about heights. I feel as if i could use this same strategy in my paper. Using photos along with other strategies I've found in past articles could really make a strong feeling to my topic. I could possibly even use photos of my own to really show what hunters do for the environment. Using photos really catches the attention of the reader and makes them want to keep going.
This article uses persuasive writing tendencies. I feel as if my essay will need some persuasive word choice, and phrases. I would use my topic in a similar way as the New York times spoke about headphone usage. I find it interesting how the writer can take an i sea that i don't agree with and change my mind. This is how i want my essay to be, i want to change the minds of the people that disagree, and reassure to the ones that already agree.
