In the article"Time Machine(1912): Wreck of the starliner Titanic"the author into detail about the wreck of the Titanic and what could have caused the ship to become a wreck. The crew onboard the Titanic didn't slow the ship near the iceberg. Everone on the ship thought the Titanic was unsinkable and it sunk. When the ship hit the Iceberg the passengers didn't feel the impact. I chose this article as the number 3 because it ties into number 1 and it extends my learning. Number one talks about the crew not putting enough coal for the Titanic to go slower.
The author Marylou Tousignant explains how the Titanic sinking was a surprise. There weren't enough lifeboats for everyone to get on when the ship started to sink so more people could survive. The officers on board the Titanic were not concerned the ship would sink even though it was going to hit an iceberg. The Titanic was found 73 years after it sunk. The reason I read this Washitonpost article was that its easy to understand and I could the main ideas and details. It really extends my learning of the Titanic.
The author Gianna Pisano gives main ideas and details to help explain the unknown of the Titanic. 1: 1,500 people died when the Titanic sank. 2: There was a fire in the boiler room and the fire damaged two of the water compartments, water compartment 5 and 6. 3: The crew of the Titanic packed enough coal to go fast. slow they couldn't slow the ship down. The slower the ship goes the less coal it burns. The crew was scared of being stranded in the middle of the ocean. The reason I chose this text as number 1 for the curation is add more to why the Titanic disaster happened. The author put in main ideas that really help gather why the ship sunk.
