Forgiveness is the only way to move on and live. In this painting, a woman is asking forgiveness of the man, and during this tribulation, angels appear to her. This event of forgiveness has altered both of them in some sort of way, and I think that is what the angels represent. It may be peace, love, comfort, or any contented feeling. Just like Lion this woman chased away her demons and brought forth her angels resulting from the act of forgiveness.
Forgiveness is the only way to move on and live. Holding back from forgiveness is usually a way to hurt the other person. While this is true, YOU are restricting yourself in the same way. The text above reveals that with forgiveness, you are releasing the other person AND yourself from the weight of a burden. With the act of forgiveness, wisdom is gained.
Forgiveness is the only way to move on and live. As it states above, living with hate is hurting yourself significantly more that it is to the other person. Forgiveness is for yourself and your own benefit, not the one that the hate is directed toward. Lion experienced his biggest conflict doing this. He thought his hate was all he could do to punish Neal for killing his parents, but in reality he was only punishing himself. In the end, forgiveness is what saved both of them and gave them back their lives.
Forgiveness is the only way to move on and live. This image depicts freedom, which is essential in life. The stone wall represents the hate and regret that holds us back from freedom. But, when forgiveness is put in place it is possible to break your way out of that stone. When that freedom is achieved, so is happiness along with enlightenment.
Forgiveness is the only way to move on and live. Willie had made a few bad decisions and ended up in juvenile detention. The words and actions of his father has always haunted him and caused him to continue to make bad decisions even though he has positive opportunities ahead of him. When he took that power away from his father, by forgiving him, he began to realize everything he could do with his life. He left behind the poor behaved boy that threw his life away and became a better person that realized his own potential.
My theme is based on the story "Goin' Fishin'". One of the themes of this story is that forgiveness is the only way to move on and LIVE. Forgiveness is what prevented Lion from actually living his life, and it is also what gave it back. This quote emphasizes that to heal, forgiveness is essential. This theme can be used in any real life situation and it is what helped Lion resolve his biggest conflict in the story.
