This short story that I read was about was ancestors and mothers the story talked about a little girl named Effia that was abused and every time the farther hit the daughter the mother hit the farther it was a hit for a hit. The abuse started when Effia had dropped her little brother named Fiifi who was so fat that when her father baaba was not looking she would roll him around like a ball. At first i didn't understand how this story related to mothers and ancestors then as i kept reading i understood how it related to mothers and ancestors. The story related to mothers because mothers go thru a lot just to take care of one child that's why they say it takes a village to raise a child but mothers do all the work so in this story cobbe had to protect her daughter from her abusive husband. This story related to ancestors because back then there was not a lot of rules and women had their own cabin but when it was time for the men to be with their women they would go in the cabbien and with their women and it also related to ancestors because ancestors seen the world thru their children eyes just like how mothers see the world thru thier children eyes because they want the best for their children.

The scars of America: why a nude artist is taking a stand at slavery sites

Nona Faustine is posting naked in the streets and at slave spots because she is trying to show the variability that slave had against white people and she is absolutely right and what she is doing is totally legal because you can show your creativity in many different ways and she choose to show it by posing at naked at memorable sights and everyone can relate a to her story because our ancestors used to be slaves and we all can feel some hurt when we think about it. She expressed her feeling in this way instead of drawing or writing about or writing and i give give her a round of applause because she was bold enough to go out there and stand in front of everybody naked i would not do that if my life depended on it

Four Women Nina Simone

This song was about four women and each woman had a different skin color and a different story that happened in their life this related to both mothers and ancestors because one of the women mother was raped and she had talked about how a white mad forced on to her mother late one night. all the women that she sang about in her song were all colored women who had went through something in their life that was terribly wrong that they did not deserve. This relates to society because everybody has had a grandmother or mother that had to do something drastic just for their safety.

Things I Wish I Could Tell My Mom

In this song Daysha Edewi talks about how her mother shames her for the way her body looks. she says how can her mother shame her for the way her body looks when she gave her those body parts. she says to her mother you say i am your pretty girl but yet you say i look like a slut in that dress.everyone in society can relate to this because when i get on social media i see all the people who are starving themselves just to be perfect for a guy or just to be perfect for their family. That's why i dislike beauty pageants because it strips women away from their self love and only bring them self hate
