A. The impact that Amelia Earhart had on our nation was that she was the first women to fly across the Atlantic Ocean by herself. Amelia also set flying records and she championed the advancement of women in aviation. During one of her flights around the world she disappeared over the Pacific Ocean. Her plane was never found so she was declared lost at sea. B. The impact that Amelia Earhart had on me was that I find it fascinating that her plane was never found and no one knows what happened to her. I really want to figure out what happened to her and if I ever did that would be so cool. C. Amelia Earhart connects to the present day because people and scientist are still trying to figure out what happened to her and her plane.

He was a multi-million dollar gangster who used his Chicago operation to proceed with the following, bootlegging, prostitution, gambling, and crime. B. The impact that Al Capone had on me was that he increased the criminal activity in Chicago. I love traveling to Chicago and whenever I go now, I always have to be super cautious. C. Al Capone connects to the present day because as said before he increased the criminal activity in Chicago and a lot of crime happens in Chicago. He also connects to the present day because he has inspired many people to do what he did. Many people now these days commit crimes that are just like what Al Capone did.
A. The impact that the Harlem Renaissance had on our nation was that it was the development of the Harlem neighborhood in New York City. The subsequent social and artistic explosion happened during this time period. B. The impact that the Harlem Renaissance had on me was that I find it very brave and fascinating that the African Americans moved into Harlem because it was was supposed to be a upper-class residence for whites. C. The Harlem Renaissance connects to the present day because it brought Langston Hughes, Zora Neal Hurston, and Louis Armstrong into the light doing many amazing things.
A. The impact that the Wright brothers had on our nation was that they were able to create and achieve the first powered and controlled air flight in 1903. Two years later in 1905 they were able to build and fly the first fully practical airplane. B. The impact that the Wright brothers had on me was that I fly airplanes all the time and I love to do it. I do not think they knew how big the invention was going to be. C. The Wright brothers connect to the present day because most people around the world fly on airplanes to travel and get to destinations.

In 1908 Ford Motor Company created the first Model T. B. The impact that Henry Ford had on me was that he had the amazing idea of creating the first car. If he had not done this cars would probably not have been created at all or till later in time. Knowing that he created the car, people around the world including me can drive places and do not have to walk or ride a bike. C. Henry Ford connects to the present day because around the world now and days people use cars to get mostly everywhere. They were such a great invention and people should be very happy that Henry Ford had such a great idea.

The impact that women's suffrage had on me was that now women around the world can vote in elections. If this did not happen women would not be able to have the right to vote. C. A. The impact that the Dust Bowl had on our nation was that the Southern Plains Region of the United States suffered severe dust storms. This led to crops and livestock being killed. This really intensified the crushing economics of the Great Depression. B. The impact that the Dust Bowl had on me was that something like this could happen again and that would end even worse since there are more people in the world that in the 1930s. C. The Dust Bowl connects to the present day because some places in the world are really dusty and cloudy that whenever people try to grow crops they would just die.

The crashing of the stock market lead to millions of investors being wiped out. Companies started failing and millions of workers were being laid off. B. The impact that the Great Depression had on me was that if this never happened and was to happen during present time is that it would be a way bigger deal. This is because the world is a much larger place now that it was during 1929. There are a lot more companies now and way more workers. I think that world would turn into a crazy place with unemployed people and no where to wok. C. The Great Depression connects to the present day because now people would probably know how to handle the situation if something like this were to ever happen.
A. The impact that Teddy Roosevelt had on our nation was that he was the 26th President of the United States on September 1901 after William McKinley was assassinated. Many people looked up to President Roosevelt because he was a dedicated conservationist, being able to negotiate well, and he loved the idea of people being able to participate in the government. B. The impact that Teddy Roosevelt had on me was that I believe that he was a very good President and he knew what he was doing, but he also had his bad times through it all. I would've supported him if I was alive during this time period. C. Teddy Roosevelt connects to the present day because he was a very important person in the United States due to him being a president. He has lead many people to their decisions even to this day because so many people look up to him.
A. The impact that World War I had on our nation was that it lasted from 1914 till 1918, and it was started because of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire were fighting against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States. More than 16 million people died. B. The impact that World War I had on me was that we learn all about it and school and I find it so interesting getting to hear the history of it all. C. World War I connects to the present day because it lead to many more wars after and some "wars" are happening right now. It also connects to the present day because this is what people around the world are learning in school ans outside of school.
