Gymnasts and trampolinists have to wear a little less clothing than a normal sport. They have to wear leotards. Leotards are like a one piece and the bottoms fit like a bathing suit while the top is long-sleeved and fits like a wet suit. While gymnasts don’t have to wear anything on their feet, trampolinists have to wear tramp shoes. Tramp shoes is short for trampoline shoes. Tramp shoes are shoes especially designed for trampolinists to have a grip when they are jumping on the trampoline, also so they don’t get all bloody when the trampoline rips your toenail of without tramp shoes.
If you are a trampolinist you have to cut some unhealthy things out of your diet. While you might enjoy eating hamburgers every day, you have to eat healthier. You might not enjoy thinking that when you are an athlete you most likely don’t eat like a pig. There are a lot of very tasty, healthy foods. Some by which barely have any calories.
There is a lot you need to know about trampoline before you join a trampoline team. One thing you need to know is that there is a lot of conditioning. When you are a trampolinist you have to have core stability and strong muscles in your legs. To maintain your core stability some conditioning that your coach might make you do are crunches, candlesticks, and even hollow body holds. Some conditioning exercises to maintain your leg muscles might some lunges, candle stick roll ups, and maybe some hurdles. With that conditioning that I just named, there are still more muscle gaining exercises that you have to do to maintain muscle to be a trampolinist.
Savannah Vinsant is considered to be one of the most famous Olympic level trampolinists. She got most of her attention when she became the first American to qualify to trampoline finals on the Olympic level. Her coach said that when she was in training as a kid, she was a very teachable kid. Vinsant’s coach thought that she was so important that she calls her a “special case”. Savannah is a very special gymnast, and she proves it in her trampoline scores. As in one of her latest meets she beat her second place component by 54 points.
