What is 7x8? This video teaches how you can use your hands to multiply two numbers between 6 and 10 using your fingers. Here's the reason the method works for me. I have always had a harder time remembering math facts above 5. I can skip count fairly well with 2's, and 3's, and 5's, and I could memorize 4's. I have used a 9's trick with my fingers so often that I can do it in my head. Now I have a way to use my fingers for those harder facts. I can see that it will take a lot of practice to remember the steps. In addition, I may need scrap paper to solve the addition problems. I think this will be a good option for me.
