A. The attack on Pearl Harbor got the USA into WWII. B. My great grandfather was going to be stationed on the USS Arizona but before he was able to be stationed there, he was in sick bay. If he was stationed on the USS Arizona, I may not have been alive. C. The attack on Pearl Harbor got the USA involved in WWII which ended neutrality for us. This then got us fighting which stopped the war causing all Asian and island countries to be free from Japanese rule.
A. Adolf Hitler impacted the USA because he started WWII and the USA sold weapons to the Allied Powers. B. Because of Hitler, my grandmother was forced to leave Europe and immigrate to the USA causing my mother to be born and then causing me to be born in the USA. C. Hitler changed the way how leaders are viewed, and caused Germany to give up their military.
A. The Normandy Invasion let the Allied powers into northern France and Western Europe which let the Allies into Europe to fight. B. As a Jew with grandparents from Europe, if the Normandy invasion was not successful I may not be here today. C. If the Allied powers did not invade Normandy successfully, Hitlers quest for power would've continued through western Europe and we would be living instead of a capitalistic country, as a socialistic hell.
A. Iwo Jima was the turning point of WWII for the USA. Because Iwo Jima was the hardest battle, it gave the USA a sign that they were winning and to keep fighting which pushed the troops and gave them a good airstrip that if in Japanese hands fighters could attack american bombers. B. The battle of Iwo Jima gave the USA an advantage which kept the Japanese from ruling over me and my family. C. because of Iwo Jima the Japanese lost a key advantage so they lost the war so that the pacific is free from their rule.
A. Henry Ford created the assembly line which made automobiles affordable for middle class Americans. B. without Henry Ford, General Motors would have no one to compete with, which would have caused most of my family to be out of jobs. C. Henry Ford influenced the automobile by a lot which caused other companies to change and still today we have features created by Ford, which are still being used today.
A. William Durant is the founder of General Motors and if they were not formed, our country and Detroit would not be the biggest producer of automobiles in the world. B. Because he founded General Motors, he is very important to me and my family because a lot of my family works for General Motors. C. Without General Motors a lot of the famous car brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC) and the best car (in my opinion), the Chevrolet Camaro, may not be available today without Durant's idea of General Motors.
A. Albert Einstein wrote a letter to president Roosevelt, telling him that an atomic bomb should be built which eventually stopped WWII in the Pacific Theater and got the USA out of WWII. B. Albert Einstein came up with the most famous equation E=MC^2. this effects me because of all the math and science teachers who I come in contact with everyday. C. Without Einstein, WWII would not have stopped causing China and other Asian and island nations great harm.
A. Harry Truman was the 33 president of the USA and ended WWII for the USA. B. If Truman did not drop the Atom bomb, the Japanese may have killed my fathers before me and I would not have been born. C. Harry Truman dropped the atom bomb which ended WWII and from then on nine countries have created and armed themselves with nuclear weapons.
A. John Browning created the most successful repeating firearm, the 1911, which was the USA standard sidearm during WWII, before, and after. B. Without Browning the 1911 would not be created and I would not be able to have a 1911 air soft. C. the development of repeating firearms is influenced by John Browning's work heavily.
A. He made money off of the great depression in the USA by "short selling" he also caused a lot of stocks to go down because he profited millions which means that others lost millions. Causing the great depression to go even deeper. B. Because I want to become a swing trader with stocks some of his strategies I have been looking at, he is also the king of "shorting" the market. C. Because he made so much money people followed his strategies and still practice it today dictating our stock prices.
