Although many people have negative views about the City of Edmonton, I can't relate to that extent. Sure at times I wish I'd rather be living in Toronto but at the same time I appreciate Edmonton for all it is. All the events and music, and public services, also I like Galaxyland, so those are 3 things I'm grateful for. I'm also a huge fan of the Valley Line LRT. Now, I can more easily be able to meet my friends that live up North in Clareview and Eaux Claires.
When speaking to me, you've most likely noticed that I speak with a slight stutter. I remember speaking great as a kid but as soon as I hit around the age of 8 or 9 it started setting in. I'm not sure where it's from, but I do have a stuttering relative but I'm not exactly sure of how we're biologically related.
Call me rude, but I can't stand serving guests. Like bringing them water and tea is just excruciating for me. This might be due to the fact that in Pakistani culture, one guest is usually serves trays upon trays of food so the constant journey from the kitchen to the dining table is just very draining, both physically AND mentally.
I like to sleep a lot. I would pick sleep over a lot of things but unfortunately, that's not possible. When life calls, I answer.
One of my biggest pet peeves are people that have no goals or ambitions for the future. People that just let things go their own way and don't make a positive effort to mold their future I just find to be really unattractive. The girl in the picture is Loujain Hathloul, a Saudi female who posts videos of her driving to social media to make a stand against Saudi Arabia's No-Women driving policy.
House of Cards is one of my favorite shows, The intensity and suspense it brings with each episode is enough to get anyone drawn into watching it.
I am a big fan of Kevin Gates' music. His music talks about a lot of concepts that I can really relate to. Some of my favorites are, "Satellites," and, "Really, Really."
I am a sport of, well, SPORTS! Specifically, weight lifting and running. Despite the fact I dread doing it at times, I certainly do enjoy the dopamine rush after.
When it comes to what I like, fashion is the crème de la crème. I don't just like streetstyle fashion, but am also a fan of classical fashions such as the common suit and dress shoes combo.
Back when kings and emperors used to rule over the stretch of land from Iran to Sri Lanka, the royal families spoke Urdu, a language widely used by many Pakistanis today. I am honored to speak the tongue of kings and emperors.
I'm a muslim. I see Islam as a religion where the lost can find meaning, and the depressed can seek happiness. The religion sure has helped with troubles of my own.
Although Pakistan is protrayed in the media as being a terrorist state, I can assure you this isn't true. Throughout my visits there, I've been lucky enough to see what Pakistan has to offer. From delicious street food to decorated trucks, various languages and religions, and the myriad of landscape such as desert, mountainous and even tropical beaches. It is a country worth visiting.
