This shows that because Hitler started by attacking Poland to show its capability to the rest of the war. Because of this, war broke out and thus lead to World War 2. According to my contextual knowledge, Hitler signed a nonaggression pact with Poland in January 1934 to neutralize the possibility of a French-Polish military alliance against Germany before Germany had a chance to rearm. However, Hitler broke this treaty, thus causing the war to occur.

Europeans democracies giving in to Hitler demands to try to stop war from occuring

This picture shows about the leaders of the European Democracies: Chamberlain, Daladier, Mussolini and Ciano signing the Munich Agreement, which was to give Sudetenland to Hitler, in hopes of trying to prevent a world war by happening. they hope that this continuous appeasement would work. however, this method that the used did not work, but on the other hand causing Germany to grow stronger and able to have a bigger military so they can start war world 2. thus, they were also one of the cause that lead to Hitler starting World War 2, and if they had just engage in war with Germany and not give up any land, they would still have the chance to prevent World War 2 from happening.

Political cartoon of Hitler holding a military rally, announcing the conscription of army

This shows a political cartoon of Hitler re-establishing an army for Nazi Germany. When Hitler decided to make this action, it was evident that he had broken the Treaty of Versailles since they clearly state that Germany could only have 100,000 soldiers, six battleships and no airforce. Yet, by announcing this plan, it shows that he know he have the military capabilities to start a World War, thus this shows that he had cause the thought of another World War because he had broke the treaty.

Hitler using the backs of democracy leaders as steps, to get to where he wants to be.

This political cartoon shows that the leaders of the democracy were 'spineless', meaning they were giving in to all of the demands that Hitler set. When Hitler took over Austria in 1938, Hitler encouraged the Austrian Nazis to demand union with Germany. Then Hitler invaded Austria on 11 March 1938. This broke the Treaty of Versailles, but Britain and France did nothing. Another example is in 1938, when Hitler tried to take over the Sudetenland. First, Hitler encouraged the Sudeten Nazis to demand union with Germany. Then, Hitler made plans to invade Czechoslovakia. Yet again, Neville Chamberlain appeased Hitler. At Munich, on 29 September 1938, Britain and France gave Hitler the Sudetenland. Thus, this examples shows that appeasement was one of the main cause leading to Hitler being able to climb up to get to his ambitions, and the democracies were not strong enough to enough their point of view to not give land.

Adolf Hitler's Obsession and the Treaty of Versailles - World War II - One Minute History

This video shows about what Hitler blamed for the loss of World War 1 and also him invading Rhineland. This shows that he had broken one of the terms stated by the treaty of Versailles, which is not to occupy Rhineland since it is a demilitarisation zone, therefore causing the France and Britain to have to engage in war with him soon as Hitler has become bolder in occupying land. Therefore, he is quite responsible for the cause of the outbreak of World War 2

The resources war during World War 2 between allies and Germany.

This video shows that the allies at that time had the military capability to actually invest by creating more factories to produce war materials, because the land and the amount of money they had was much much more than Germany. However, the allies did not make sure that the country was strong enough with industrial areas built more spreaded out over the land. Because of that, some of the countries and state was very weak and they had poor living conditions. thus, they would not be able to stop the forces of Germany. thus, this shows that the allies had a very huge advantage and would be able to prevent the war from happening if they were able to make sure their country is more developed and to show Germany how strong they were, causing them to think twice before having the thought of starting World War 2.

Nazi attacking Poland and ignoring warnings by world leaders

This pictorial source shows Hitler foolishly going for the war even when there were many warnings and also a traffic light, signalling to him that he will lose the war. This shows that Hitler was partially responsible for the war since he was the one that engage the war without a second thought, causing war world 2 to occur. Thus, this shows that he was the one who started war world 2.

Conclusion

Conclusion

Therefore, after considering both sides, i feel that Hitler is still the main cause of World War 2. This is because he was the one who actually started World War 2, by breaking the Treaty Of Versailles and engaging war on Poland. For the European Democracies, they were the one that only used appeasement in hopes of avoiding war. They were actually just trying to help out to avoid war, but it was Hitler who take it as signs of the European Democracies being weak and giving out to his demand, thus took advantage of it and engaging war. Thus, i can infer that it is Hitler who is responsible for World War 2.
