This source shows mountains of skulls and bones and Stalin smiling proudly showing the innocent lives he had killed. This shows he was a cruel person, taking thousands of lives. I chose this source because I feel there is a need for people to know the terrible things that Stalin did other than helping the country rise.
During the Stalin's Rule, he seized the peasants' crops and which resulted in a famine and starving not only the peasants but also the animals. Without the food for the animals to feed on, the animals starve to death and this will mean that the people have to source of food therefore they get starved to death. Due to this, I believe that Stalin's rule was not beneficial for the USSR.
This source shows the economic impact of Stalin's Rule. Tractors, trains, equipment and other mechanical objects. This shows the advancement and the economic impact of Stalin's rule as the country can afford all these advanced machinery. I chose this source because despite being a cruel leader, Stalin has also done things that really helped the country.
This source shows people who were starved to death during the Stalin's Rule. They suffered for a very long time and they die due to famine in the country. i chose this picture because i wanted to emphasize the suffering that people during those day suffered due to Stalin's actions and decisions. Stalin's rule was not beneficial because more people suffered than actually benefiting from his rule.
Despite the terrible doings of Stalin, he also had improved the lives of women in Russia, giving them the permission to work and handle the responsibilities of a man. Stalin came up with a brilliant idea of opening up Childcare Centres where mothers can drop their children off before going to work and the parents would not have to worry about their children. however, the mothers are only allowed to see their children once in a while. I chose this source because i truly support this decision of Stalin because this means women have equal rights and they are given the oppurtunity to work as well.
I chose this source because it shows the economic impact during the rule of Stalin.
I therefore conclude that Stalin is not a saviour of the USSR, however, he did help Russia rise and made Russia one of the most successful countries during that time. He had caused the death of many innocent Russians and I feel that he is a rather selfish but witty man because he manipulated many people to get to where he was. He executed those who were against him and he was part of a communist party which I felt was not a right thing to do. Nevertheless, he is one of the most important nation leaders of the history of the world till today. If it was not because of him, i dont think Russia will be who it is today.
