The Alberta government is stepping in to help Edmonton and Calgary bid for retail giant Amazon's second headquarters.

But this third-generation business recently announced on its website that it will be retiring, and will subsequently close by the end of December (Its Granville Island and downtown Vancouver location has already shuttered for good).
