A job fair is being held in Kamloops this week for positions at the B.C. government's first pot shop ahead of the legalization of recreational marijuana in October.

A man accused of using a Slurpee as a weapon during one of nine convenience store robberies he is linked to was charged by Calgary police on Wednesday. Daniel Owen Ellis, 53, was arrested in southeast Calgary and is charged with three counts of theft under $5,000, and police say additional charges are pending.
