Knifewear Edmonton is hosting visits by three Japanese blacksmiths and knife makers and sharpeners in July, according to the Calgary-based owner of Knifewear, Kevin Kent. Fans of extremely sharp, handcrafted kitchen implements can watch Shibata-san, Ikeda-san and Kato-san, who work with of Masakage Knives and Kotetsu Knives in Japan, in action at the Whyte Ave. shop. The demonstration is on July 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the store, 10820 82 Ave.
At around 9:20 a.m., the car jumped a curb into Bosley's Pet Store on Helmcken Road near Victoria General Hospital.
