Week in Justice 29 Oct 2017

Two main talking points in the world of criminal justice this week:

  1. Wednesday's Panorama was extremely critical of the work of the new split probation service and questioned the wisdom of the government's Transforming Rehabilitation initiative.
  2. The latest prison safety stats were out on Thursday, tragically recording the highest ever levels of self harm and assaults.

In other new, the Justice Committee pushed for changes in the disclosure of criminal records committed by under 18s.
