A busy week in justice as parliament breaks up for the summer. The Justice Committee published its critical report into police disclosure failings and the crime outcomes statistics revealed that in only 11% reported crimes is an individual summonsed or charged - a further 2% drop on last year's figures.
There was the rarity of a positive prison inspection report - on HMP Dovegate, and the Criminal Justice Alliance published a constructive short paper on eight ways to start reducing the prison population.
