This surprisingly vibrant white wine comes from steep hillside terraces along the Amalfi coast. Natural wine and fermentation. It is fresh, floral and tropical. Drink on a scorching hot day! A great match with Margherita pizza or deep fried calamari with lots of lemon on a bed of peppery arugula.
Organic Certified Cataratto from a Royal Sicllian family. It opens with zesty lemon, white flowers and a hint of beeswax. On the palate, creamy white peach and nectarine. It is simple but well made with crisp acidity that gives to a clean bright finish. Sip it as an apertif or pair with light appetizers. Works extremely well with garlic and soft goat cheese.
Elegant and balanced. Rich flavours of stone fruit and citrus are balanced by brisk acidity and a creamy mouthfeel. Fermented with Montrachet yeasts and aged 9 months in 15% new French oak. Grapes are sourced exclusively from cool, marine influenced vineyards from Monterery county. Where southeast facing slopes benefit from the morning sun, followed by afternoon sea breezes and moderate nighttime temperatures. A delicious wine to pair with prawns and scallops, roast chicken or pork, as well as fresh garden vegetables such as zucchini.
A copper colored 3 day skin contact Pinot Grigio. Hand picked and produced in small quantities on the family's farm in the hills of Friuli. Lush aromas of wild strawberry, acaia blossoms and pecorino cheese hint at it's complexity. On the palate, a racy minerality is tempered with lush tropical fruit such as papaya and lychee and a mid palate of quince. Typical flavours of bitter almond skin and Apline honey lead to a round mouthfeel. Drink it with charcuterie, strong cheese and olives, autumnal food like squash, mushrooms and roasted dishes.
Perhaps the greatest rose in France! Don't be fooled by the colour. It is bone dry. Loaded with aromas of wild strawberry, blood orange, and characteristic notes of herbs de Provence and pepper. Grapes are handpicked from the hills of Montagne Noir. Here, the unique stone soil and climate produce wine with tremendous power and concentration. Infinite pairing possibilities. Try it with Salmon Gravlax, Coq au Vin, Nicoise salad, lamb burgers, Thai shrimps, Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Asian foods with a sweet and sour component and sushi.
An over achieving Cali Pinot Noir- with elegant floral aromas, complex red berry flavours, a silky texture and a long, refined finish. Very approachable, fruit driven Pinot that offers tremendous value! Awarded 'Best Value' and 'Editors Choice' by Wine Spectator. Pairs well with everything from salmon and tuna, to poultry, game birds and vegetarian dishes. Be careful not to overwhelm the delicacy of the Pinot with dishes that are too powerful or assertive.
Velvety Tempranillo that tastes and smells of red and black fruit laced with minerality, espresso and leather. From one of the region's most highly regarded estates, only the best grapes are used. Aged for 18 months in French and American oak and cellared in the underground caves of Torquemeda. A delicious accompaniment to hearty meat dishes, particularly grilled lamb. Obviously works well with Spanish cuisine, but also a fine pairing with Mexican dishes. Only 550 cases made!
This is a classic Super Tuscan, with bright acid coming from the Sangiovese and plush fruit from the Merlot & Cab Sauv. 'Mongrana' is impeccably smooth and well balanced. On the palate, dried cherry and plum leads to a dusting of warm spices and earth. Medium bodied, medium plus acid with a long satisfying finish. Drink with or without food.
Great price given the quality! This organic wine delivers flavours of red and black fruit mixed with herbs and spices. Round smooth tannins are woven around licquorice, raspberry and a twist of black pepper. Garrigue refers to the the low scrub that grows wild in the area: Aleppo pine, laurel, thyme, rosemary, lavender and sage. The plants are hardy and aromatic imparting their essence into the air. Driving through the terrain on a hot day, with the windows open, the powerful aroma that hits you is the very same that you will find in the bottle. It is a beautiful expression of landscape and terrior. Pair with roast chicken, duck breast, braised red meat or prime rib.
"There is no better producer of Nero d’Avola in Sicily" - Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate The nose is dominated by a luscious scent of black fruit, blended with nuances of eucalyptus and sandalwood. The mouthfeel reveals quite a powerful structure, packed with lively acidity and salty minerality. Aged for 12 months in large French oak barrels. This full bodied, yet elegant wine would pair well with soups and legumes, braised meats as well as pasta dishes with eggplant, parmesan, mozzarella and Mediterranean herbs.
