Claim: Winston Churchill is a hero because he was a strong leader in the war and helped a lot in winning the battle against fascism. evidence: he is a hero because he came up with strategies that helped Europe win the war. He also gave morale boosting speeches. There's more evidence in the artifacts. Analysis: The reason he is a hero is because he became prime minister and brought Britain victory in the war. If he had not become prime minister the world might of been straight out of the show "man in the high castle" in which the axis won the world war and invaded the us.
this is one of churchills most famous speeches. Turn on subtitles if you can't understand him.
Winston was a great speech maker. The speeches he gave were full of confidence and humor. He was a great leader and I don't think Britain would have won without him.
In WWII the British could not decide to fight but Churchill was then elected and beat nazi Germany with many crazy ideas and tactics. One of these was the D-day landing, this was a group effort by the Canadians, Americans, British and French resistance. The Canadians were eager to avenge the fallen brothers that died a year before. They were trying to land and secure a small beach on the French coast. But the nazis knew they were coming. They were mowed down by nazi m-42s and infantry fire. Then the anti tank guns finished the job. There were few survivors.
As prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill rallied the British people during WWII, and led his country from the brink of defeat to victory.
This website stood out to me because not a lot of people in this century know about him. Except for history nerds like me. I hope you enjoy this cite as much as I did.
