Work, Force, and Power

Work:

Definition: Work is the application of a force over a distance. Lifting a weight from the ground and putting it on a shelf is a good example of work. The force is equal to the weight of the object, and the distance is equal to the height of the shelf (W= Fxd).

Force:

Definition: force is the push or pull on an object with mass that makes a change to its velocity (to accelerate). Force represents a vector, which means it has both of a magnitude and direction.

Power:

Definition: Power is the rate at which a certain task is performed, this measurement is by dividing work, by the time is taken. You use power as a useful way for construction or if your just a curious person

We'll start by looking at motion itself. Then, we'll learn about forces, momentum, energy, and other concepts in lots of different physical situations. To get the most out of physics, you'll need a solid understanding of algebra and a basic understanding of trigonometry. About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content. For free. For everyone. Forever. #YouCanLearnAnything Subscribe to Khan Academy’s Physics channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0oGarQW2lE5PxhGoQAKV7Q?sub_confirmation=1 Subscribe to Khan Academy: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=khanacademy

Force and Motion | Science Video for Kids

There are many things around us. Some are in motion and some are not. The ones which are not moving can be brought into motion by applying force - a push or a pull. Motion can be of different types - straight, zigzag, circular etc. Let us learn more facts about force and motion in detail in this video. #Education #Science #Kids
