At the end of World War II, huge spaces of Europe and Asia had been reduced to ruins. Borders were redrawn and homecomings, expulsions, and burials were under way. But the massive efforts to rebuild had begun. This war has resulted in killing off of about 4 percent of the human race world wide. The people that didn't die in this war were extremely lucky. But finally, there was no more fighting. This war was very destructive and was very hard to rebuild everything, soon enough though, almost everything was rebuilt. The United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine paved the way for Israel to declare its independence in 1948. The growing tensions between Western powers and the Soviet Eastern Bloc developed into the Cold War, and the development and proliferation of nuclear weapons raised the very real specter of an unimaginable World War III if common ground could not be found. World War II was the biggest story of the 20th Century, and its aftermath continues to affect the world profoundly more than 65 years later.
During World War II, there were many new weapons and technology introduced to the world. The reason for this is because, during the war, we felt that we needing to have stronger weapons than all of the other countries, so people started finding out ways to create new weapons. For example, a new weapon that was discovered was toxic gas. If you breath in this gas you will become extremely ill and soon die. The Soviet Union would through this toxic gas on the enemies territory and the people that would inhale this died soon after. Also, computers were invented for cracking the Nazis codes. The article states,"Electronic computers were developed by the British for breaking the Nazi “Enigma” codes, and by the Americans for calculating ballistics and other battlefield equations". So as you can clearly see, we discovered very important inventions during this war.
World War 2 was the most destructive war in history. So much damage was caused, mentally and physically. The reason i say mentally is because there was so much death caused by this war. Over 60 million people died in World War 2.However, If it wasn't for this war, even more people could have died. For example, lets say World War 2 never happened. There would still be Hilter, there would still be Nazis, and there would still be the killing go Jews. Of course they all wouldn't still be here because 1939 was 78 years ago. Everyone would be old, and Hitler would be dead.
World War II was one of the longest wars in history. It began on September 1, 1939. The Nazi's and Hitler, were the big reason why WWII began. The article states,"Previously, Germany, led by Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler, had annexed Czechoslovakia and Austria without provoking a military response from France or Great Britain." This continued instill 1945.
