This is my favorite CoP idea post. I know they said they want you to talk more, but once they warm up, these can be fun. Most of these probably won't quite work since you can't count on everyone being there every time, but something like Teach-OK, Hot Seat, and Converstations might work.
SUPER FUN game that can be used in a time of review. I've played it with 7th, 9th, and college and they love it.
This is the really simple strategy I mentioned. You pose a question, students talk to one other person (or a couple) about their answer, and they share as a group.
